Purpose of the association
The purpose of the association is to preserve, develop, promote and disseminate Polynesian culture in all its forms, particularly dance, music and handicrafts, in Polynesia and throughout the world, and to organize, collaborate or participate in all activities or events of a choreographic, musical, handicraft or folkloric nature and of tourist and/or cultural interest, as well as any other activity directly or indirectly contributing to the achievement of the corporate purpose.
The beginnings of the 'Ori Tahiti Nui Competitions
Since the 1st edition, the 'Ori Tahiti Nui Competitions have been able to count on some of the biggest names in 'Ori Tahiti to judge the competitors, both in the youth and confirmed/pro categories.
Kohai Batani Gournac of Tamariki Poerani; Conservatory gold medallist Teruria Taimana; international judge Karl Brillant and Mevina Liufau of Tavake Rereata Japan made up the jury for the 'Ori Tahiti Nui Solo & Duo Competitions.
From one edition to the next, the competitions have expanded to include 7 categories.

This Tahitian dance / 'Ori tahiti competition is open to dancers of all nationalities, presenting themselves individually or on behalf of Tahitian dance companies and schools, whether local or from outside French Polynesia.
