Tā'amu pāreu - How to Tie a Pāreu

In anticipation of the competition, we draw your attention to how to tie your pāreu with the help of this demonstration video.

For further details, please refer to article 6 of the 'Ori Tahiti Nui 2026 Competition rules: The dancer's costume is made up of a pāreu and a tāpe'a tītī in plain fabric, cotton, faraoti or tergal. The tāpe'a tītī can be dressed or made of fresh vegetal to match the head crown. The pāreu is a rectangle of hemmed fabric, sufficiently long and loose at the fastening to allow the artist to move with decency, not belted.

How to attend the 'Ori Tahiti Nui Competitions 2026?

There are two ways to attend the 'Ori Tahiti Nui Competitions:

  • You can either buy a ticket on Thursday, November 19, 2026 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Hotel Le Tahiti to watch the competition in person,
  • or buy a LIVE Streaming Pass to view competitions online.

I'm taking part in competitions. How and where can I park?

All spectators and participants in the 'Ori Tahiti Nui Competitions 2026 are invited to go to the Le TAHITI by Pearl Resorts hotel, where the car's driver will be directed by security guards to one of the 3 parking lots near the hotel, after dropping off his passengers.

A shuttle bus will run between the 3 parking lots to take drivers from the parking lots to the hotel.

    How much does it cost to attend a competition?

    Tickets for attend the 'Ori Tahiti Nui Competitions 2026 will be in sale e Thursday, November 19, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Hôtel Le Tahiti to watch the competition in personat a price of 1,500 F per session per person.

    For the 'Ori Tahiti World Championship 2026, Non-dinner tickets will be on sale for 1,500 XPF from Friday November 20.
